LED signs included in medical centre refurbishment

LED signs included in medical centre refurbishment Patients attending a US medical centre can read hospital information on a newly-installed LED screen.

The Sierra View District Hospital has been recently refurbished in order to improve patients' experience while at the centre.

An LED sign has been erected in the accident and emergency department of the hospital located in Porterville, California.

The screen displays important information about the facilities at the clinic and is updated on a weekly basis.

In addition to the modern technology, the department has also received new flooring, chairs and seating.

Ramona Contreras, director of marketing at the hospital, explained that the improvements make a significant difference to patient visits.

"We asked them what area of the hospital needed the most improvement and almost every single one of them said the emergency room," she told the Porterville Recorder.

"Patients are not the only ones reaping the results. Nurses and other staff enjoy it too."

In other news, LED screens installed in a Canadian hospital display anonymous information about how patients are progressing through the hospital system in order to keep relatives updated.
