Fertility centre installs LED lighting
A newly-opened fertility centre boasts an array of advanced features including LED lights.
The Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, recently opened its doors to couples who have trouble conceiving.
Ricardo Loret de Mola, director at the clinic, explained that the centre features the latest hi-tech equipment in addition to highly trained staff.
The clinic is fitted with apparatus such as incubators and hormone analysis devices and laboratories are incorporated with LED lighting for use during medical procedures.
The wavelength of the LED lights ensures that no damage occurs to embryos when they are in the lab.
Mr Loret de Mola explained that the centre's advanced equipment offers patients a high standard of care.
"The newly constructed, world-class laboratory offers the best possible environment for our patients' gametes and embryos as well as overall patient experience, security and privacy," he said.
Elsewhere, a Massachusetts medical centre recently installed LED screens which display hospital information for visitors.
